The short version

Everything you do in Amplifly — brain check-ins, flow and focus sessions, your ND profile, your own tools and insights, the recommendation model — is stored on your device, and every algorithm runs on your device. Amplifly requires an account to use, so that data also syncs to your account: encrypted in transit, stored encrypted at rest on Supabase's servers, and never sold, shared, or used for any purpose other than keeping your data available to you. We collect no analytics, crash reports, or advertising data.

What data Amplifly stores

The following is stored on your device using AsyncStorage, and synced to your account while you are signed in:

  • Daily brain check-ins (brain state + optional note + timestamp)
  • Flow and focus sessions (activity, duration, intensity, interest level, helpers, drains, condition used, optional note)
  • Your ND profile (which profiles you selected, executive function rating, working memory rating)
  • Tools you add yourself and self-insights you record
  • Your name (optional, used only for personalized greetings)
  • The recommendation engine's learned state (Beta posteriors per condition/context cell) and its outcome history
  • The personal calibration layer for the flow forecast
  • Your theme and notification preferences

Local storage is capped so it stays bounded — for example, the most recent 365 brain check-ins and sessions, and the most recent 500 recommendation outcomes.

Your account

Amplifly requires an account. There is no guest or signed-out mode — when you open the app without an active session, you are taken to the sign-in screen. Signing up takes an email address and a password.

  • Your email address is stored by Supabase for authentication. Password resets are handled by emailing you a 6-digit code.
  • Your brain checks, sessions, profile, custom tools, insights, and recommender state are synced to Supabase's servers and stored encrypted at rest.
  • Sync runs in the background and never blocks the app. Once you are signed in, Amplifly works offline — an account is required, but a live connection is not.
  • Signing out immediately stops syncing. Your local data stays on your device. Signing in again with the same account keeps it; signing in with a different account clears the local data first.

Supabase is an open-source database platform. Their infrastructure is hosted on AWS. You can read Supabase's privacy and security documentation at supabase.com/privacy.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics (no Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
  • No crash reporting (no Sentry, Bugsnag, or similar)
  • No advertising identifiers (no IDFA, GAID)
  • No usage telemetry of any kind
  • No data is ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than the functionality described above

The recommendation engine and flow forecast

The recommendation engine is a Thompson-sampling contextual bandit. All computation runs on your device. The model's learned posteriors sync to your account so your learning carries across devices — but nothing is used for advertising or shared with anyone.

The flow forecast uses a small neural network trained on synthetic data built from published research on focus and neurodivergence. The weights are fixed and ship with the app — they never change on your device. Only a personal calibration layer updates as you log sessions.

Amplifly uses no sensors, wearables, or biometric data. Everything it reasons about comes from what you tell it and what the phone already knows.

Deleting your data

To delete your account and all data stored in Supabase, email us at hello@amplifly.me with the subject "Delete my account." We will remove all rows associated with your user ID and delete your Supabase auth account within 7 days.

To delete data stored locally on your device, uninstall the app. All AsyncStorage data is removed automatically when the app is uninstalled. Uninstalling does not delete your account or the data synced to it — email us to do that.

Children

Amplifly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users via in-app messaging where possible.
