The short version
Everything you do in Amplifly — brain check-ins, flow sessions, your ND profile, the recommendation model — lives on your device in local storage. We don't collect analytics, crash reports, or advertising data. A free optional account lets you sync your data across devices. That sync data is stored on Supabase's secure servers, encrypted in transit, and is never sold, shared, or used for any purpose other than restoring your data.
What data Amplifly stores
If you use Amplifly without an account, the following is stored only on your device using AsyncStorage:
- Daily brain check-ins (brain state + optional note + timestamp)
- Flow sessions (activity, duration, intensity, interest level, helpers, drains, optional note)
- Your ND profile (which profiles you selected, executive function rating, working memory rating)
- Your name (optional, used only for personalized greetings)
- The recommendation engine's learned state (Beta posteriors per condition/context cell)
- The personal calibration layer for the flow forecast
None of this leaves your device unless you create an account.
If you create an account
Creating an account is free and optional. Its only purpose is to let you restore your data on a new device. When you sign in:
- Your email address is stored by Supabase for authentication.
- Your brain checks, flow sessions, user profile, and bandit state are synced to Supabase's servers and stored encrypted at rest.
- Sync happens automatically in the background. Signing out immediately stops syncing. Your local data remains on your device.
Supabase is an open-source database platform. Their infrastructure is hosted on AWS. You can read Supabase's privacy and security documentation at supabase.com/privacy.
What we do not collect
- No analytics (no Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
- No crash reporting (no Sentry, Bugsnag, or similar)
- No advertising identifiers (no IDFA, GAID)
- No usage telemetry of any kind
- No data is ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than the functionality described above
The recommendation engine and flow forecast
The recommendation engine is a Thompson-sampling contextual bandit. All computation runs on your device. If you have an account, the model's learned posteriors sync to Supabase so your preferences carry across devices — but nothing is used for advertising or shared with anyone.
The flow forecast uses a small neural network trained on synthetic data built from published research on focus and neurodivergence. The weights are fixed and ship with the app. Only a personal calibration layer updates as you log sessions, and that stays on your device (or syncs to your account if you have one).
Deleting your data
To delete your account and all data stored in Supabase, email us at hello@amplifly.app with the subject "Delete my account." We will remove all rows associated with your user ID and delete your Supabase auth account within 7 days.
To delete data stored locally on your device, uninstall the app. All AsyncStorage data is removed automatically when the app is uninstalled.
Children
Amplifly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users via in-app messaging where possible.
